Archie Comics Files Suit Against Co-CEO

Archie Comics Publications has filed suit against Co-CEO Nancy Silberkleit accusing her of storming into a meeting and yelling “Penis, penis, penis, penis.” She supposedly repeated the “penis” outburst again, adding pertinently, “My balls hurt.”

...WTF?!?

Whatever Happened to Proofreading?

The Chicago Sun-Times reports that the name of Green Party gubernatorial candidate Rich Whitney is misspelled “Rich Whitey” on electronic-voting machines in 23 wards — “about half in predominantly African-American areas.” The error only occurs on screens voters would see when they are reviewing their choices (Whitney’s name appears correctly on the initial screens), but officials say the error cannot be corrected before election day.

Cannibal? Can YOU Ball?!?

Heard about a new recipe for Spelt Tagliatelle, included in the Australian Penguin Press cookbook The Pasta Bible, which includes sardines, prosciutto, salt and "freshly ground black people."


While I think that the new trend toward culinary experimentation are wonderful, this may be taking things a bit too far... do haveta appreciate the insistence on freshness, though, right?

Goddammit! Swearing Is Healthy As Shit! (...Fuck Yeah!)

The excellent boingboing.net reports this morning that a medical journal has released study results suggesting that swearing is actually a beneficial way to alleviate pain.

So there, you fuckers!
